The Rice Committee is established to ensure a constant and steady supply of rice in Liberia, enhance local production, and support the participation of Liberians in the importation and distribution of rice.

  • Formulate policies for rice supply and distribution.
  • Encourage local participation in the rice trade.
  • Maintain a database on rice imports, exports, and pricing.
  • Reactivate and manage the Rice Stabilization Fund.
  • Develop strategies for increasing local rice production.
